Will Call of Juarez: The Cartel Succeed At Bringing The Series To The Modern World


The market for video game westerns is very small, especially when you compare it to other settings like fantasy and sci-fi. It’s particularly surprising considering the immense popularity of last year’s Red Dead Redemption, but long before Rockstar put out its wild west epic Polish developer Techland has been making western games in the form of their Call of Juarez games. While the first game was good and the second game was even better, it’s unknown whether Call of Juarez: The Cartel will continue or break the trend due to its radical setting change.

The Binding of Isaac Announced


Love it or hate it, last year’s Super Meat Boy was extremely popular and the guys behind it all, Edmund McMillan and some of the Super Meat Boy development team have announced their next game The Binding Of IsaacWhile Super Meat Boy was similar to an old style technical platformer, The Binding Of Isaac is described by McMillen as “A roguelike shooter based on the dungeon structure of Zelda”.

Valve Updates Steam, Teases DOTA 2

A large
question in the video game industry right now is whether digital or
retail purchases are better. While purchasing a game from the comfort of
your preferred gaming machine is nice, the download times compared to
retail disc install times are not. Valve is hoping to help that problem
by upgrading Steam’s backend code, and improving the overall download

Activision Files Complaint Against Fake Modern Warfare Wesbite

Two of the biggest first person shooters of 2011, Battlefield 3 and Modern Warfare 3, are coming out in the Fall. This creates some natural competition between them, but one supporter of Battlefield 3 has gone farther with his loyalty and created an anti Modern Warfare 3 website under the domain name ModernWarfare3.com.
