Dishonored Plot Revealed

Bethesda and Arkane Studios have announced their next game in the form of Dishonored. Dishonored
will be a stealth action-adventure game and it’s being worked on by
Harvey Smith, one of the minds behind the hugely popular PC games Thief and Deus Ex.
The
game will be based around you playing as Corvo, the bodyguard of ‘The
Empress’ who is framed for her murder and then sets out to get revenge
utilizing a number of powerful supernatural abilities and deadly
gadgets. Arkane has said that the core gameplay will revolve around
assassinations, but unlike the Assassin’s Creed games, the world and gameplay of Dishonored
will react to how violently you play the game. Arkane also revealed
that Corvo’s different gadgets and abilities can be combined in various
ways, which should make for some very interesting gameplay.

No Battlefield 3 For Steam


Earlier today, Electronic Arts released a list of digital retailers that will be selling the highly anticipated Battlefield 3 when it gets released in October. While the list featured numerous online retailers such as Direct2Drive and GamesGate, the biggest digital distribution platform of the lot, Steam, was mysteriously absent.

Planetside 2 Reveal Coming Soon

A mysterious omen appears! Planetside 2, formerly known as Planetside Next, has been hinted at by Sony Online Entertainment’s CEO, John Smedley and a few other folks in the loop for quite some time now. It appears that something offical has finally emerged from all of the promises and waiting. Planetside2.com, formerly a joke/spoof website created by some fans, was updated September of last year to redirect to the original Planetside’s website, being taken as a hint to many that SOE did indeed plan to create the game. Now, nearly a year later, after a cryptic Facebook post asking fans to “Enlist” by liking the page, Planetside2.com now features a countdown, backdropped by Planetside 2’s alleged logo. Spooky.

Cryptic Screenshots Herald Bizarre New Game

Polish developer Flying Wild Hog is teasing a new shooter, exclusive to PC, that appears to have… Robots! And the future. And… Well, there isn’t a lot to go on. But so far, the concept art featured on their site looks amazing. While this isn’t exactly an announcement of definite things to come, the released teaser screenshot looks great, and seems to hint at a little open world cyber punk style gameplay, or at least a world that is thematically matched to that sort of thing.

Backlash Over EVE Incarna Results in Emergency Meeting


On June 21st CCP Games launched “Incarna,” the latest expansion for their epic online game EVE Online. The update shipped with several new features such as the Captain’s Quarters which allowed players to explore the world of EVE in 3D and the Noble Exchange which was an online marketplace that sold virtual goods for real money.

Respawn Entertainment’s First Project Screenshot

Do you remember Respawn Entertainment, the guys who left Infinity Ward without most of the money they earned from Modern Warfare 2, and are still fighting Activision for it to this day? Well, they’re more than just a sensational story, they’re actually a game developer for EA. The surest sign of that so far just occured. Respawn has released an image of their new game, which is great! There is a catch, however. It’s so blurry that it’s impossible to make out any details whatsoever, and you can only see the most obvious things.
