Valve Confirms new Counter-Strike in Development

The PC rumor mill was buzzing today with talk of a possible new
Counter-Strike title from Valve.  Why does this matter?
Counter-Strike really put competitive multiplayer shooters on the map
back in the late 90’s and early 2000’s as it turned into a global
phenomenon.   Although it was just a Half-Life mod like Team Fortress it became insanely popular.  Version 1.6 is still played
today.

Dead Island: Story and Character Customization

It’s quite a surprise that the Dead Island trailer took the internet by storm in the way it did. The game being developed by Techland has been relatively unknown since it was first announced in 2008 and I don’t even think Techland expected their debut trailer to be as successful as it was.

More Borderlands 2 Details Emerge

An absolute ton of details have come out regarding the recently announced Borderlands 2 in the last few days. One of the biggest things that will seperate Borderlands 2 from the original is that you will take control of one of four all new playable characters in game. While Gearbox aren’t completely abandoning the old playable characters (They will be appearing in the game as NPCs) they are already placing a big focus on the new characters, the first of which is Salvador the Gunzerker (I can only assume this is an fusion of the Berserker and Soldier classes from the first game) who has the confirmed ability to dual wield any two weapons. Check him out below:

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has received a great amount of praise after Bethesda showed that impressive demo back at E3, and many people have most likely pre-ordered it already.  However, the hardcore fans may want to hold off on pre-ordering the normal game, as Bethesda has just announced a Collector’s Edition for Skyrim

It’s bad news for gamers looking forward to the upcoming turn based RPG strategy game Might and Magic: Heroes VI as it’s just been delayed again, this time to the 13th of October. The delay comes as a bit of a suprise as it was already delayed earlier this year, originally slated for release in June of this year but got pushed back to the 8th of September.

Minecraft Developer Being Sued by Bethesda

Fans of both Minecraft and its creator, Markus “Notch” Persson, probably know about his developer company, Mojang, and its next project entitled Scrolls. Apparently, so does Bethesda, because their lawyers are suing Mojang for copyright infringement of The Elder Scrolls’ trademark.

According to Persson, he was contacted by Bethesda’s lawyers who were upset after Mojang made a trademark filing for its next game, Scrolls. “I
agree that the word ‘Scrolls’ is part of that trademark, but as a
gamer, I have never ever considered that series of (very good)
role-playing games to be about scrolls in any way, nor was that ever the
focal point of neither their marketing nor the public image,” Persson
wrote of Bethesda’s franchise. “The implication that you could own the
right to all individual words within a trademark is also a bit scary. We
looked things up and realized they didn’t have much of a case, but we
still took it seriously. Nothing about Scrolls is meant to in any way derive from or allude to their games.”
