Dragon Age was a popular and critically acclaimed title followed in the footsteps of earlier Bioware games like Baldur’s Gate, a Dungeons and Dragons-based RPG that has since been considered one of the most classic games of its generation. As the year comes to a close, it is good news to know that the sequel, Dragon Age II, is set for release shortly into the new year (March) with a new storyline, new characters and a fully voiced main character.

Sure, it was a fifteen-dollar downloadable budget title to begin with, and it isn’t that great, but it’s certainly going to bring you a few hours of entertainment, and the 99¢ chicken sandwich you’d get at a fast food restaurant will only give you about five minutes of snacking pleasure.
The Witcher was one of my favorite titles when it was released several years ago. By pairing an excellent, deep and multilayered plot on top of a vibrant and believable environment and solid RPG mechanics, The Witcher proved to be a sleeper hit and received critical success around the world. While some crashing issues and an unpopular fighting system (it gets better!) dampened the thrill, the overall quality of the game shone through. Coming off this pedigree is the sequel, The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, developed by the creators of the original, CD Projekt RED, based on the Witcher novels by Andrzej Sapkowski.
