New York Comic Con 2015 Announces More TV Panels
Over the past decade New York Comic Con has emerged as one of the biggest comic book conventions in the U.S. Additionally, over the past few years, there has been a significant TV presence at NYCC as well. That will continue with this Fall’s New York Comic Con, as a number of TV panels have been announced. A slate of them will take place at the Hammerstein Ballroom.
Adventure Time has developed a huge following, both of adults and kids, and Cartoon Network will present a NYCC panel on Friday, October 9
th at 11:00 am at the Hammerstein. Along with some previews of upcoming episodes, the panel will also include Olivia Olson (Marceline), Jeremy Shada (Finn), John DiMaggio (Jake), Adam Muto (Executive Producer,
Adventure Time) and Rebecca Sugar (Lyricist/composer
Adventure Time; Creator
Steven Universe).
CBS will appear at Hammerstein to promote
Elementary and their new show
Limitless. This panel will occur on Friday, October 9
th at 1:30 pm. The stars of
Elementary, Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu, will appear along with Executive Producer and Creator Robert Doherty for a look at the new season.
Limitless, a new series based on the movie with Bradley Cooper, will be at the same panel with star Jake McDorman (
American Sniper), Jennifer Carpenter (
Dexter) and Executive Producer and Showrunner Craig Sweeny.
USA will have a panel at the Hammerstein on buzzy new show
Mr. Robot and upcoming new series
Colony. The panel, Friday, October 9
th at 3:30, will bring
Mr. Robot stars and creators together for a panel discussion. There will also be a screening of the new show
Colony from Executive Producers Carlton Cuse (
Lost,
The Strain) and Ryan Condal (
Hercules), along with a Q & A from cast and creators.
The last TV panel of the day at the Hammerstein will be from Starz on the highly-anticipated new show
Ash vs. Evil Dead. The panel will be on Saturday, October 10 starting at 3 pm. Sam Rami (Executive Producer, Director, Writer) and Bruce Campbell (Executive Producer and star) will be on hand with other cast and crew to discuss how the series will continue and expand on the cult
Evil Dead films.
Although making it into some of the popular panels (as all of these panels will likely be) at NYCC can be difficult, they can really be enjoyable as well, getting sneak peaks and the opportunity to directly ask stars questions. The lineup at the Hammerstein Ballroom is just a small portion of the TV panels, featuring stars and creators, at the 2015 New York Comic Con. NYCC will take place from October 8th through 11th at the Jacob Javits Convention Center.
