As is the case with most rumors, there is no smoke without fire and today the previously heavily rumored Uncharted: Fight for Fortune has been announced. The game will be released on the Playstation Store exclusively on Playstation Vita in December. Along with the announcement Sony released this nice trailer which gives an idea of what to expect from the game.
To coincide with the game’s release there will also be a new patch for Uncharted: Golden Abyss that lets you use artifacts found in the game to be used as cards in Uncharted: Fight for Fortune. There are also lots of DLC planned for the game including launch day DLC and promises to be supported for a while after release.
Many people will be annoyed they are not getting a proper Uncharted game but let’s be real here, a game like this could work fantastically on Vita. Uncharted: Golden Abyss was a good game but compared to its PS3 counterparts will always be inferior. By attaching the Uncharted name to a brand new experience and something as addictive as a card game could be the game Vita owners have been waiting for. I’m not saying this will be the best game on Vita but at least give it a chance until you have played it. One of the best games on the 3DS is a puzzle game (Pushmo), why can’t one of the best games on Vita be a card game?
Uncharted: Fight for Fortune will be released on December 4th for $4.99 on the Playstation Store for the Playstation Vita.
