As the holiday season continues, many shows are getting ready for their themed specials. One of these shows is the highly anticipated Sherlock: The Abominable Bride, which just released a new trailer. This 90 minute special will be the first times fans have seen a new episode of Sherlock in almost two years.
The trailer previews the winter special, which will be set in 1895 where John Watson (Martin Freeman) and Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch) encounter a threat that challenges scientific reasoning. In this episode, Thomas Ricoletti’s wife has been seen walking around, even though she recently died. Now she’s donning a her wedding dress and plotting her revenge.
Sherlock: The Abominable Bride will air on PBS on Jan.1 at 9/8 c as well as having a limited theatrical release. The special is written by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss and directed by Douglas Mackinnon. Check out the all new trailer below. Do you think this special will be worth the wait?
