New in stores this week for
the PS3 are the annual updates for two of the major baseball game franchises
with both MLB 11 The Show and Major League Baseball 2K11 hitting the
shelves. There is also a game called Yoostar
2, which uses the PlayStation Eye to create Hollywood
green screen style effects to let players join in well-known movie scenes. But,
the main store release this week must be Dragon
Age II; it has been getting strong reviews and anyone who is a fan of dark
action RPG’s should take a look.
There is only one new full
title out on PlayStation Network, which is Test Yourself:
Psychology, and it is the first pack in a series of interactive psychology
tests.
Game of the Week has to go to Dragon Age II for its twisting narrative that changes depending
on player choice, an updated battle style with some clever new additions, and a
dark style complemented with some good solid graphics.
New PS3 Store Releases:
MLB 11 The Show – The new features set is led by a Pure Analog Control System,
with analog controls for hitting, pitching, and throwing.
Dragon Age II – Play as Hawke, a refugee who rises to be the most important
character in the world of Dragon Age while being shrouded in myth and rumor.
Yoostar 2 — Using PlayStation Eye, players can
perform in hundreds of famous movie scenes, record their performances, and
share them with friends and family online.
Major League Baseball 2K11 – This year’s update improves the fielding
system and adds extra player detail, with performance stats based on live data.
New PSN Content: Test Yourself: Psychology ($2.99) – Aims to give you real scientific analysis of each
aspect of your personality and mentality.
