New Justice League Series Confirmed By Cartoon Network
"Here's hoping it's as good as Justice League Unlimited. "
As expected from the discovery of an animated
Justice League poster a month ago, Cartoon Network has confirmed that a new
Justice League series is in development.
“We will be premiering a new Justice League series, but not likely until next Fall,” Cartoon Network Canada said in response to a question from
World's Finest on their Facebook page. As
The Nerdist previously reported, the series is rumored to be titled
Justice League: Action.

Justice League Unlimited.

The last Justice League animated series (
Justice League Unlimited) concluded its run in 2006, but with the
upcoming Blu-Ray release of the complete series, next year’s
Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice, and the planned
Justice League films, Cartoon Network is clearly looking to capitalize on a resurgence in the team’s popularity. Regardless of their motivation, however, I’m sure the news comes as a relief to fans disappointed by the cancellations of
Young Justice,
Green Lantern: The Animated Series, and
Beware the Batman.
No word yet on the creative team behind the project, but it's unlikely
Justice League creator and producer Bruce Timm will have a hand in the series due to his commitment to
Justice League: Gods and Monsters Chronicles.
