New Comedy “Unhinged” Being Developed by Hulu

Hulu is started to develop a new comedy series, Unhinged, from writing and performing partners, Casey Wilson and June Diane Raphael, according to Deadline. Unhinged is a single camera half-hour comedy whose lead character is April Hansen, a middle-aged woman with a rage problem. The project is currently in development with the possibility of Wilson (Happy Endings, Marry Me) to play the lead role of April. Former 30 Rock executive producer, John Riggi, is on board to serve as the showrunner. This isn’t the first project for Wilson and Raphael to collaborate on. They have performed together at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre and they wrote and starred in the Sundance film Ass Backwards. Wilson is most-known for her role as Penny Hartz on Happy Endings, but also worked on Gone Girl, Saturday Night Live, and Marry Me. She will also be a guest-star during season five of The Mindy Project, according to Entertainment Weekly. Raphael was most recently on the Netflix shows Grace and Frankie and Lady Dynamite.
