Due to an apparently botched reveal on Ubisoft’s Facebook page, details of the upcoming Assassin’s Creed title may have been leaked.
According to a developing thread on the NeoGAF message board, Ubisoft posted a Flash file containing the title “Assassin’s Creed: Revelations” and the name “Altair”, in Arabic script, on the official Assassin’s Creed Facebook page. What this may mean is that whether you return as the protagonist of the original title, Altair, or as Ezio from Assassin’s Creed 2 and AC: Brotherhood, more of Altairs history maybe revealed in the next game.
Fans were asked to like the Facebook page to have an “exclusive look at the upcoming Assassin’s Creed game”. However, before anyone even had the chance to see what this was referring to; the page was suddenly removed from the web. This has led many to believe that this was an accidental leak of the title in question.
Ubisoft is yet to have made any comments on the matter at hand, even if Assassin’s Creed: Revelations is the official title or not, but they already have confirmed that a new Assassin’s Creed title would be announced in May, and will expect a retail release later in the year. Ubisoft have scheduled its E3 press conference for June 6th, where the game expected to be featured during the event.
