Starz has released a new trailer for the much-anticipated American Gods to give audiences a taste of what’s to come this spring.
American Gods is based on a novel of the same name by Neil Gaiman and will be airing on Starz this coming April. The story takes place in in a world where the old gods brought to America by groups of immigrants are being pushed to the side as new gods, fueled by tech, media, and conspiracy theories, being to emerge to the forefront of the American consciousness.
One man caught in the middle of the old and new gods is Shadow Moon, played by Ricky Whittle. The new trailer shows that a war is developing between the old gods and the new. The old gods are led by Mr. Wednesday, played by Ian McShane, who is hoping to use Shadow Moon as a weapon for his cause.
