Skrull, Kree not confirmed for “Avengers”

As the production date nears for Joss Whedon’s The Avengers film, more and more news (and rumors) are coming to light, true or not. Although it’s known that Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye and Nick Fury will all be front and center, no confirmation has come to light on who the Marvel dream team will face off against. This is likely why the fanboy circles are quick to grab onto anything, notably a line from the Albuquerque Journal (quoted by Ain’t it Cool News) in reference to the potential storyline and villains for Whedon’s superhero epic.
