Now that The Avengers has finally hit theaters, Sony wants to make sure you know when you can get your next superhero fix, and it’s not The Dark Knight Rises. A second trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man has arrived and it might just get your spider sense tingling.
Finally assured that he can direct real people just as well as digital ones, Disney has recruited The Incredibles and Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol director Brad Bird to direct a mystery project entitled 1952.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt is currently aiming to remake the musical Little Shop of Horrors for Warner Bros. The film will derive from Frank Oz’s 1986 musical of the same name. JGL would star as the nerdy florist named Seymour who tends to a plant that feeds on human flesh.
Benedict Cumberbatch, who Abrams recently said blew him and producers away with an audition he recorded on his phone, will indeed be playing Khan, who in the TV series and films is something of a supersoldier from the past.
Even with its beefy debut last weekend and the arrival of four new films, romantic comedy Think Like a Man easily held on to the top spot, a week before The Avengers will storm the box office. Meanwhile, the Pirates! Band of Misfits, The Five-Year Engagement, Safe and The Raven all opened weakly.
