Charlie Day is perhaps best known for his work on FX’s acclaimed comedy series It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. The Weinstein Company has confirmed in a press release that “Django” will be released on Christmas Day in 2012. This certainly makes the film a more concrete prospect and affirms both Tarantino’s Oscar-winning qualities and ability to make a potential winter blockbuster. It’s a big step up back into the limelight for Tarantino, whose Inglourious Basterds dropped in August of 2009 after the disappointment of his prior film, Grindhouse.
