With mega-comedian Jim Carrey scaling things back with I Love You, Philip Morris, Player Affinity will take a loving peek at the top ten non-traditional movie romances.
After we awarded the best and worst films of 2010 and then provided you a comprehensive list ranking all the films we covered this year, did you really think we were done? To kick off the new year, here are the Player Affinity Movie Awards, recognizing categories outside the best and worst films of the year. Some of the awards were standard, but we cooked up a few that deserved to be handed out this year in particular.
It’s our final weekend of the year and we’ll be crowning the 2010 Box Office Wizard in just a few days. Come practice up for next year when we’re all even again! All you have to do is predict which five movies will place in the top five of this weekend’s U.S. domestic box office.

Another year has ended and I am sure many of you have added more DVDs and Blu-rays to your collection. Seeing that DVD sales remain one of the big sectors within the film industry, we decided to take a look back at the year in discs.
The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance is one of John Ford’s best films, and one of the best Westerns. It’s delightful cast and complicated moral questions make it an exemplary piece of filmmaking for the genre. Give it a look-see.
The mark of a true classic (especially around the holiday season) is one that continues to be a delight annually, and in many cases (many cases, let me tell you) one that improves with every consecutive viewing. Nation Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation is certainly one of those films
I’ve seen It’s A Wonderful Life about 25 times, I estimate; at least once every year since I was five and sometimes multiple viewings, each taking place in the three weeks or so before Christmas. I’ve always loved it, and will always love it.
