Michael Douglas to be Hank Pym in Wright’s Ant-Man
We reported awhile back that Paul Rudd was announced as the lead in Edgar Wright's version of Marvel's
Ant-Man. At that time, we didn't know which version he'd play, whether it'd be the original Hank Pym or Scott Lang. Those answers have finally come to light, with both
The Hollywood Reporter and
Marvel announcing that Michael Douglas is set to be in the film, as Hank Pym.

This happens to be the very first superhero role that Douglas has played, within his illustrious career that spans numerous decades. With this being in place, it'll be interesting to see how Edgar Wright will maintain the balance in having both the original Ant-Man and the successor to Pym, Scott Lang, within the same film.
Edgar Wright's
Ant-Man is set to be released on July 31, 2015.
