Marvel’s The Inhumans Coming to ABC Next Fall
The Marvel Universe is once again expanding on ABC with a new show called
Marvel’s The Inhumans, a live-action drama set to air in fall of 2017,
according to TVline. This eight-episode series will be about the adventures of Black Bolt and the royal family.
The first two episodes of the series will get a special IMAX premiere in early September 2017 before the show makes its broadcast debut.
The Inhumans were already introduced on
Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and it has become a major storyline and theme throughout the series. In season two, Skye, aka Daisy, evolved into an Inhuman and was nicknamed Quake for her ability to shake things up. It has been stated, however, that the new Inhumans series will have no connection to
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,
according to TVLine.
Black Bolt is one of the most recognizable members of the Inhumans in the comics. He has super-human strength and can create massive, destructive shockwaves when he speaks. The royal family includes the Inhuman Queen, Medusa. In the comics, she was one of the only people who would visit Black Bolt when he was in isolation learning to control his powers and eventually married him.
