Entertainment Weekly reports that aspiring actress Angie will appear in a dream sequence involving “an epic song and dance number.” In a slightly spoilery description of the episode (you’ve been warned!), Executive Producer Michele Fazekas told the site that “Episode 8 ends with a cliffhanger where Peggy and Jarvis [James D’Arcy] get in big trouble and are knocked out,” and “Episode 9 begins with a dream sequence that starts in black and white.” Following this, everything goes into color (in
Wizard of Oz fashion), which segues into a dance number accompanied by an original song from lyricist David Zippel and composer Christopher Lennertz (in concert with with executive producers Tara Butters and Fazekas).
During the sequence, which features a number of
Dancing with the Stars professionals, Angie will serve a Jiminy Cricket role. “She’s your conscience and she’s speaking the things that Peggy maybe can’t say to herself,” Fazekas says. “It ties things back together from the first season and it’s connecting all of these things in a way that only a dream can do.”
Agent Carter will return on January 19.
