Liza Weil Returning to Gilmore Girls
We have some excellent news for those of you keeping track of who will be returning for the
Gilmore Girls reboot on Netflix.
Throughout the week, news has been coming out about which favorites will be reprising their roles. It is now official that Liza Weil will return as fan favorite Paris Geller, according to
TVLine. Considering Weil's current TV commitment as a principal cast member of ABC's
How to Get Away with Murder, there had been some worry that the revival might not see Rory's high strung frenemy.
Earlier last week, Kelly Bishop, who plays the show's matriarch Emily Gilmore, revealed in an interview with
TVLine that series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino had written Paris into revival scripts. Then on Saturday, Weil announced that Paris will in fact be part of the four-episode continuation. It is rumored that she will be features in two of the four 90-minute episodes.
Other returning cast members include Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Kelly Bishop, Scott Patterson, Matt Czuchry, Yanic Truesdale, Sean Gunn, and Keiko Agena.
I’m still holding out hope that Milo Ventimiglia will return as Rory's former beau Jess Mariano.
