A lot of news is coming out for fans of Square Enix's Disney crossover RPG series,
Kingdom Hearts.
First,
two new screenshots have been revealed to show off
Kingdom Hearts III's flashy new combat system. The first reveals the latest Drive Form (a type of ability that comes with an outfit change) that shows Sora's famous Keyblade transformed into what looks like a shield. The second screenshot is a little more enigmatic. It also shows off a Drive Form, but the
Kingdom Hearts Twitter account warns that the keyblade has been edited out since it's from "a world that hasn't been released yet". While neither screenshot provides too much information, it's certainly enough to get long-time fans of the series excited.

If you aren't a fan yet, or haven't played the games yet, it looks like the series is becoming even more accessible as a collection.
Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix + 2.5 ReMIX, is coming to PS4 early next year. The collection contains updated HD remasters of the two core games, as well as a number of the spin-offs. It looks like the PS4 versions will include updated visuals and improved performance. Coupled with the upcoming (and confusingly named)
Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, all of the main series
Kingdom Hearts games will be playable on PS4 prior to
Kingdom Hearts III, which doesn't yet have a release date.
