Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD ReMIX Now Set for December, KHIII Also Teased
Square-Enix released a new trailer for
Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD ReMIX last night in time for E3 next week. Announced earlier this year, this HD remix compilation contains
Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix,
Birth by Sleep, and cutscenes from
ReCoded. Gameplay was also shown off with the games in widescreen and English voice acting. More importantly, the new compilation is now coming to the Playstation 3 on December 2nd in the US, the 5th in Europe, and two months earlier at Japan. The trailer can be seen below with also some teases for
Kingdom Hearts III at the end.
While no new footage was shown for
Kingdom Hearts III, we did get a little taste of what is to expect from the storyline especially with the Keyblade War. There is a slim chance something will be shown next week at E3 for this highly anticipated sequel even though it was announced at last year's show. Assuming Square-Enix takes their sweet time with these big games and we're still early into the new console generation, don't expect it till late 2015 at the earliest or even 2016. The same goes for
Final Fantasy XV as Square-Enix has recently claimed that nothing new will be at shown next week and it is being saved for a future event later this year.
In the meantime,
Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD ReMIX comes out on December 2nd only for the Playstation 3 giving fans enough time to reunite with the series with both remix compilations and newcomers to be more familiar before
Kingdom Hearts III's release on the Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
