Jenna Coleman Confirms Doctor Who Exit
"Time Lord seeking companionship."
The Doctor will soon be in need of a new companion. After three years on
Doctor Who, Jenna Coleman will be leaving the show sometime during series 9, as revealed in her interview with
BBC Radio 1.
"I have left the Tardis - it's happened," she told BBC Radio 1. “I’ve filmed my last scenes."

Coleman first appeared on
Doctor Who as Oswin Oswald in the episode “Asylum of the Daleks” and later played Clara Oswin Oswald in the Christmas special “The Snowmen.” Her debut as companion Clara Oswald came at the end of the special, and since the “The Bells of Saint John,” her character has been a regular on the show. On the experience, Coleman
tweeted that she now has “adventures to last [her] a lifetime.”
Exactly what episode Clara Oswald will make her last appearance in, and the final fate of her character, is of course a mystery. Will she meet her end in “The Girl Who Died,” leave in the more optimistic sounding (but surely melancholic) “The Woman Who Lived,” or depart in another episode altogether?
Fans will likely get a sense of how everything will play out when
Doctor Who series 9 premieres this Saturday.
