Insomniac Games are officially parting ways with the Resistance franchise.
In a previous interview Ted Price, head of Insomniac stated that they would not be continuing with the PS3 shooter series but are quite happy to hand it off to Nihilistic Games. Later today he further confirmed this via a more formal announcement in the below video. While this news isn’t completely new as back in August last year Insomniac’s creative director for Resistance also stated the team was probably done with the series. Ted Price has let the fans know that they “feel they’ve told the story they wanted to tell” across the trilogy of titles so we now know for sure that they will indeed not be making any future games within the franchise but as with many AAA series it will continue on in the hands of others.
