Injustice 2 Release Date Confirmed

Can't wait to play the latest superhero fighting game? Well, you may be able to sooner than expected. NetherRealm Studios' Creative Director Ed Boon released a vague picture on Twitter. The photo in question simply reads “i2.05.16.17”. Boon didn’t accompany the image with any other text or information. The “i2” in the image hints that this could be a release date for Injustice 2. However, the picture points towards a date of May 16, 2017. The NetherRealm Studios' account also tweeted an image featuring the date, as well as promotional art of Batman and the Flash. At the time, the image implied something was coming either a release date, more information, or even some event. What everyone was hoping for had finally come true; the image was the release date for Injustice 2. WB has confirmed that Injustice 2 will release in the Americas for Playstation 4 and Xbox One on May 16, 2017, as previously tweeted by Boon. This sudden news comes to a surprise considering very little information about Injustice 2 has been shown lately. Hopefully, for DC and fighting game fans, this release date will lead to more information around the corner. Either way, Superman and Batman will be clashing once again in a few months time.
