SDCC 2016: Gears of War 4 Campaign Demo
"Gears of War 4 demo ready to play at SDCC"
San Diego Comic Con is coming tomorrow, and Microsoft is bringing a cool new toy for everyone in attendance.
Microsoft announced that they will be bringing a playable demo for
Gears of War 4 to SDCC. Those attending will be able to play through a chunk of the campaign.
Can’t make it to San Diego tomorrow? Don’t worry, because Microsoft released a campaign gameplay trailer for those of us outside the San Diego area, and it looks pretty cool.

The trailer starts off a little slow, though it does look pretty. The real action kicks in when that “wind flare” starts blowing everything around.
The way that the player shot out some of the debris to smash groups of The Swarm was particularly impressive. It’s a neat take on the classic “red explosive barrel” situation. I also like how the wind seemed to affect the buzz saws that he shot out toward the end.
Gears of War 4 will be available for both the Xbox One and the PC on October 11. It will be one of the first of Microsoft’s “Play Anywhere” titles.
