Gearbox has confirmed that the studio and publisher 2K will be releasing a Game of the Year Edition of Borderlands October 12th, 2010 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and the PC.
The Game of the Year version of the cell-shaded, co-op focused first person shooter will come with 3 of the downloadable content packs that have been released over the past year, as well as a token to download the upcoming Claptrap’s New Robot Revolution, which is set to release on its own for all three platforms later this month at $9.99.
This version of Borderlands is shaping up to be one of the most content heavy “Game of the Year Editions” we’ve seen in some time, adding value through the extensive DLC packs on top of the already lengthy experience you can get with just the standard edition of the game. Borderlands Game of the Year will retail for $59.99 on the PS3 and 360, and for $49.99 on the PC.
