In the past three months, you probably heard a little song called "Gangnam Style" by Korean pop star Psy. The music video for the song is almost at 500 million views on YouTube and quickly became a social phenomenon worldwide. It was only a matter of time when the hit song will be appearing on dance games since it has been highly requested. Ubisoft is the first to get "Gangnam Style" as they announced that it is coming to Just Dance 4 as downloadable content next month.
The song will be priced similar to past DLC that has been released for the franchise, which is $3 or 240 Microsoft Points. However, Ubisoft did not clarify whether or not "Gangnam Style" will also be out for the Wii and the Wii U platforms. The Wii U version is still slated to be a part of the console's launch lineup, but who knows if the song will still be downloadable or just be included in the retail disc.
"Gangnam Style" is the first of many songs Ubisoft planned to release as DLC for Just Dance 4, but I won't be surprised if I see this song on other dance and rhythm games like Harmonix's Dance Central 3 in the next few months. Psy himself is excited that the song is headed to Just Dance 4 and looking forward to seeing videos of people dancing to it while playing the game. Just Dance 4 is already out on Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and the Wii. The Wii U version is still coming out the same day of the console's launch, which is November 18th.
