Game of Thrones Season 6 Finale Will Run Long

Game of Thrones will have an extra long season six finale, according to
Variety.
The most recent season of
Game of Thrones has featured characters coming back to life, meaningful character deaths, favorite characters in peril, and some surprising returns. To get viewers even more excited for the finale, HBO announced that the last episode of the season will be 69 minutes long, which is the longest episode the series has ever had. And, just for added excitement, next week's penultimate episode "The Battle of the Bastards" episode will run a full 60 minutes, making it the second longest episode of the season behind the upcoming finale.
Fans have have been discussing their theories about how the season will end, but they will soon find out if any of their predictions are correct.
HBO has teased that the finale episode is titled “The Winds of Winter," which is a nod to George R. R. Martin’s next novel in the “Song of Ice and Fire” series.
The season six finale of
Game of Thrones will air Sunday, June 26. If you aren’t planning on watching it live, make sure your DVR is set to accommodate up for the extended time and you might want to stay offline while you’re at it.
