The CW released trailers for many of its upcoming shows at their recent upfronts presentation, including the much-anticipated Black Lightning.
Black Lightning tells the story of Jefferson Pearce who used to be a vigilante, but retired and became a school principal. 10 years after leaving his Black Lightning persona behind, he is drawn back to the fight with some encouragement from one of his daughters.
The first trailer (below) shows that journey in a just three minutes. Black Lightning will premiere on the CW midseason and stars Cress Williams, Nafessa Williams, China Anne McClain, and Christine Adams. It is executive produced by Greg Berlanti (The Flash, Riverdale, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, and Arrow), Salim Akil, Mara Brock Akil, and Sarah Schechter.
