Here's what Ubisoft had to say:
“We are very thrilled to be able to offer the first Multiplayer DLC for Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood for absolutely free,” said Sebastien Puel, executive producer, Ubisoft Montreal. “We wanted to say thank you to our fans for making Brotherhood such a huge success its opening week. We are very proud of the unique and innovative Multiplayer mode it offers, and hope the fans enjoy the new content.”
The update will contain a new map which will be set in Mont Saint-Michel on a rocky tidal island in Normandy. The map contains narrow streets, a bell tower and multiple levels.
Also included will be a new game mode in the shape of Advanced Alliance Mode which takes the usual 3 teams of 2 in Alliance mode and shakes things up by making it harder to locate and engage opponents.
The update will be available as a free download on December 14th.
