Square-Enix has announced the US release date for Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD for the Playstation 3 earlier today. The HD collection comes out at the end of next month over at Japan, but it is now coming out here at the US on March 18, 2014 for the PS3. The Vita version is still coming, but no dates have been announced for that yet.
The package is $40 featuring both PS2 RPGs in HD. Final Fantasy X, personally the only Final Fantasy game I completely played, stars Tidus and Yuna as the both of them along with the rest of your party to save Spira from total destruction by Sin. X-2 was one of the more interesting games in the franchise as it was the first direct sequel to a Final Fantasy and the infamous dress up system. The trailer below does have reveal too much of the story for both games, so if you're worried of spoilers for someone playing these for the first time, you are warned.
The limited edition that costs the same comes with a different box art featuring Tidus and Yuna along with an artbook featuring both games. In addition, the International content from both games are in this HD package, a bonus ending for Final Fantasy X called Eternal Calm, and X-2's Last Mission. Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD comes out on March 18, 2014 for the Playstation 3 with the Vita version on a later date.
