EA & BioWare Announces Dragon Age III: Inquisition

EA and BioWare announced the third entry in the Dragon Age franchise today. Subtitled Inquisition, this sequel is slated to come out on late 2013 for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, PC. While there is no announcement trailer or screenshots besides the logo, the big news is that the game will use the FrostBite 2 engine with help from DICE. This engine has been used in a lot of EA games as of late such as Battlefield 3 and the upcoming Medal of Honor: Warfighter. This will be the first RPG game published by EA to use FrostBite 2 as the graphical potential can be really impressive if last year's Battlefield 3 was any indication.

Inquisition has been in the works for two years now and people that had been working on the franchise since Origins are at the helm in this sequel too. No details about the storyline have not been officially revealed yet, but we will probably find out in the upcoming months. In terms of a Wii U version, BioWare has not officially mentioned platforms for the sequel yet, but it is a safe assumption that will come to the Wii U along with the other platforms the franchise is available on. Dragon Age III: Inquisition will be released late next year for Playstation 3, Xbox 360, PC.
