Riot in Cell Block 11 (1954) (DVD and Blu-ray) Directed by Don Siegel Written by Richard Collins Starring: Neville Brand, Leo Gordon, Emile Meyer, Frank Faylen Don Siegel is a director with a great record, making movies like Dirty Harry and Escape from Alcatraz and with producer Walter Wanger he made the prison movie Riot in Cell Block 11 where a group of prisoners overtake a prison wing in protest against their harsh treatment. Set in the depths of an unnamed South American country five men from different nationalities work in a oil-drilling operation. When a fire breaks out four of the men could make a fortune if they undertake a dangerous mission to transport dynamite through the jungle. Set during the Warlord Era in China a village is constantly being raided by bandits and have to hire seven warriors to help defend their home. McGinley, Rhona Mitra As well as the classic British original the awful American remake of Get Carter is also being re-released onto Blu-ray. Sylvester Stallone takes on the role of Jack Carter and the action is transferred Seattle as Jack investigates his brother's death. Gibson stars as Jerry Fletcher, a New York cab driver and an insane conspiracy theorist (so like Gibson in real life). But it turns out that one of Fletcher's theories is right, he just has to figure out which one it is.
