Edge of Tomorrow (should have stuck with the source material's
All You Need is Kill, although, it was recently “corrected” to
Live. Die. Repeat on the DVD cover) features Tom Cruise in a very unlikely roll of a bumbling Army Major put in charge of media relations. Going against higher command, he is forced into ground combat, where a freak accident transforms his life into a “reset button” for the day. With each death, Cruise is doomed to repeat the same day from the beginning, living life much like that of a first-person video game.
