The people have spoken: we want Vice President Joe Biden as our next reality star.
A new petition is currently making the rounds on the White House website in an effort to create a C-SPAN show chronicling Biden’s day-to-day life. The petition cites Biden’s magnetic, fun-loving personality as a huge factor in the show’s projected success.
"Vice President Joe Biden has a demonstrated ability to bring people together, whether at the negotiating table or at the neighborhood diner," says the petition. "We, therefore, urge the Obama Administration to authorize the production of a recurring C-SPAN television program featuring the daily activities and interactions of the Vice President with elected officials, foreign dignitaries and everyday American families."
In other words, we all just want to see more of the quote-worthy “Biden-isms” we got a taste of at the swearing-in of the new senators. And who can deny that a show following the wacky antics of the vice president would be anything but entertaining?
So far the petition has over 23,000 of the required 25,000 signatures needed. And what happens if the petition gets its signatures? Even if the petition is successful, there’s no certainty we’ll be seeing “Here Comes Biden Boo-Boo” on TV anytime soon. But we’re sure going to try.
