Connor Hawke is Coming to Legends of Tomorrow
"Another archer for the Arrowverse."
Legends of Tomorrow has found its archer, only it isn’t Oliver Queen.
According to
Comicbook.com, Connor Hawke is heading to the
Arrow and
Flash spinoff show. The site investigated reports that the series was looking for “an African-American or biracial male who decides to put on the uniform of a missing hero who once stood for justice and hope” and were able to confirm with Warner Brothers that the character would be making an appearance. Most significant about the news, however, is the fact that the
Legends of Tomorrow iteration of Connor Hawke won’t be the son of Oliver Queen and Sandra Hawke as he is in the comics.

This may come as a surprise to fans of
Arrow who were expecting Oliver’s already existing child to make a more substantial appearance on the show. From the Season 2 episode, “Seeing Red,” we discovered that Oliver was a father (a fact unbeknownst to him), and we got a further tease of his child’s involvement in the show when Oliver ran into the unnamed mother, who spoke to her child on the phone, during “Flash Vs Arrow.”
Stephen Amell has already said “it’s a safe bet that Oliver will find out about his child at some point,” so we’ll have to wait and see how the writers differentiate the character from Connor Hawke.
Since the main crux of
Legends of Tomorrow is time travel, it wouldn’t be too much of a stretch to see this version of Connor Hawke as a Green Arrow from the future or an alternate timeline (as Comicbook.com notes). The fact that the character took up the mantle when Oliver was presumed dead in the comics makes these theories even more plausible.
