Chip ‘N Dale Rescue Rangers Preview!

Boom! Studios is adding another comic to their Disney “Afternoon Block” line up and this time it’s Chip ‘N Dale Rescue Rangers. Personally, Boom! has been handling the revival of the “Afternoon Block” quite well with Darkwing Duck so it’s great to see new additions. The series is penned by Darkwing Duck scribe Ian Brill and drawn by Marvel Superhero Squad artist Leonel Castellani. Hopefully the revival continues so that I can finally read the ongoing Bonker’s title I’ve been dreaming of. Also if you’re like me and you can’t remember the theme song for the show you may find yourself singing Duck Tales, like I am! Included are the first five pages of the first issue. Enjoy!

Batman and Robin #15 Review

Grant Morrison has been both a friend and a mortal enemy to fans of the Batman. One thing is the same, however: Batman and Robin is one of the greatest ongoing series at the moment. Possibly the best. With an in-depth story and stunning art, this issue fails to disappoint.

The “Batman and Robin Must Die” story arc comes to a conclusion in this bizarre story, directly linking it with the “Return of Bruce Wayne.” Professor Pyg and Dr. Hurt are together on a road full of rampage and it’s up to the Batman to stop them… with a little help from the Joker and a kidnapped Damian Wayne.

Writer Nathan Edmondson made people afraid to look into the light with THE LIGHT, a sell-out five-issue miniseries drawn by Brett Weldele (The Surrogates). Now, he brings new life to the spy genre with WHO IS JAKE ELLIS?, an all-new series from Image Comics.

The first issue of JAKE ELLIS will be in stores in January 2011. Tonci Zonjic (POPGUN, The Immortal Iron Fist, Daredevil) joins Edmondson on the book, producing action-packed art and covers for the series.

Justice League of America #60 – Review

Christmas is a huge thing. Streets and houses are lit up and people even travel around towns to see all the different displays. Christmas is so big that its influence can also be found in movies, special episodes for TV series, and the holiday event has even crept its way into comic books. Seeing the cover (Santa being beaten up by Neron) was the sole reason I picked up this comic.

Soldier Zero Exclusives

Were you unhappy with your run of the mill cover of Soldier Zero #1 this week? Were the first 7 covers not enough for you? Well Boom! feels that same way and have added 2 more covers to mix! Some completionist out there is getting really pissed off right now realizing that they’ll have to buy 9 covers all together. At any rate the new variants are being sold through Mid-Town Comics with their own exclusive cover and yet another exclusive cover through Hastings which has been pumping out the exclusive covers since getting into the comics game. As is the norm, I’m sure some of these exclusives will make their way into other comic shops and then eventually the eBay. Pictured below are the covers and I do have to say that the retro cover is pretty snazzy!
