Starborn #2 – Advanced Review

Not born on our world but of another, Benjamin Warner or Bin Yaamin (which is his real name) is braced with action and excitement. Finding out that he is an alien and also an heir to a kingdom is a big step up from being a novel writer to a Starborn hero! Before he gets his kingdom he’ll have to survive The Network! As the council of evil has found out about Benjamin Warner’s presence on Earth. The Council has have decided to take immediate action and kill the future heir! Watch out Starborn fans because Benjamin Warner is a hero not that far away from our galaxy.

In it, Tim Seeley’s HACK/SLASH heroine Cassie Hack must face down a horde of perverted slashers who have been released from Bomb Queen’s evil dimension into her unsuspecting world. Among those evil individuals? Bomb Queen herself!

Teaser Time – We Are All Lost – Trailer

Well last week we were treated to a teaser shot that simply stated, “We Are All Lost” and this week so far now we have a trailer… that loses me. Not really, the trailer is easy enough to follow but its still not giving up a lot of details on what “We Are All Lost” is about. Top Cow has again promised more details as the week continues and I’m at least curious to see what their next teaser has to offer. Enjoy the video!

Teaser Time – Infinite Vacation Teaser 2

It’s teaser time again! First up is another Infinite Vacation. I’d have to say that reading the text of the fake magazine makes me think that this book my be inspired by the movie “Inception” a tid bit. “Money’s not an object, or maybe it never was” everything is point to the fact that nothing is real and maybe never was. I guess there could be some mix of the “Matrix” in there as well. Regardless of it’s meaning I’m already tired of the teasers and would prefer to just read the comic.

Team Affinity: Gotham City Sirens

The Gotham City Sirens are a team of three old villainesses of Batman – Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy and Catwoman. Another unofficial member is the Riddler who has appeared in a lot of issues of the Sirens, sometimes helping them or solving some unrelated mystery. They have sometimes fought as a team in the name of good but have also done some questionable acts that have gone against the law.

You Missed That Issue! – The Anchor #8

Basically we pick what we decide are the “modern classics” and tell you everything about the issue without keeping anything hidden, so it is full of spoilers. The point of this feature is to explain what you are missing out on with comics that may have been overlooked, so no Shadowland or Blackest Night here.

Ok, a quick explanation on what The Anchor is all about. The Anchor is a fairly new series from BOOM! Studios. It is about a man who lives on two planes of existence. His spiritual self sits at the gates of Hell and fights off the hordes of demons that constantly try to invade Earth. His physical self suffers all the injuries inflicted upon his spirit and fights any demon that may make it through

Crossed Series 3 – Psychopath

Avatar Press has released three covers for the newest upcoming edition for the horror series Crossed, titled “Crossed: Psychopath” a six issue miniseries. It will be written by David Lapham (Crossed Family Values, Stray Bullets) and illustrated by Raulo Caceres (Gravel). 

The protagonist’s name has been revealed as Mr Lorre and he has been described as a “single, horribly selfish man trying to survive on his own. A man who will leave behind every shed of his humanity to survive the Crossed”.
