Spider-Man Joins the Fantastic Four

After the Fantastic Four member Johnny Storm was torched-out in Fantastic Four #587, it was asked who would replace him, if anyone? None other then the famous wall-crawler Spider-man! It is not much of a surprise since Spider-man’s alliance with the Fantastic Four goes back to the first issue of his own series, The Amazing Spider-man #1 back in 1963. He had asked them then if they wanted to hire a new member for there team and now they have finally given him an answer: yes! The new series with Spider-man as an active member of the Fantastic Four re-launches in March: though they will no longer be known as the Fantastic Four. Instead their will be a name change – the team will become known as the Future Foundation, still enabling it to keep the slang term FF even if the new name sounds like some kind of space brigade.

Marvel Character Affinity: Moon Knight

He is one of Marvel’s vigilante heroes. He is a billionaire, a cab driver and a soldier of fortune. Created by Doug Moench and Don Perlin originally doing the art. Originally conceived as an enemy of Jack Russell (Werewolf By Night), appearing in Werewolf By Night #32. He proved to be a popular character and was awarded his own series.

It was in the first issue of his own series that his true origin tale was explained. Marc Spector was working as a mercenary with Raoul Bushman and Jean-Paul “Frenchie” DuChamp. Bushman killed an archaeologist and Spector felt guilty, he helped the archaeologist’s daughter to escape. Bushman was annoyed and beat Spector, leaving him to die in the desert. From here, Marc Spector crawled to a tomb and Marlene put him under the statue of Khonshu, Ancient Egyptian god of the moon and vengeance. Spector died, but suddenly came back to life believing Khonshu had brought him back to life.

Google Celebrates Will Eisner’s 94th Birthday

If you check the Google home page today you will see the Godfather of the graphic novel’s famous creation… the Spirit, gracing the page. This is in celebration of Will Eisner’s 94th Birthday. Of course Mr. Eisner passed away in January of 2005, but he is quite influential in comics even to this day. The great thing about this is that the Spirit comic always spells out the Spirits name within the setting of the page, so it’s very fitting to have Google spelled out the same way. I hope everyone will check out Mr. Eisner’s site, where you can stop by his short biography page to learn a little something about one of the greatest comic creators to ever live. Spawn #204 – Advanced Review

Being swarmed by the press and paparazzi, Jim finds out information about having a possible wife! When Jim hears that Sara is in danger and being followed by paparazzi a man harassing her, he teleports to her to see the man get into a near fatal bus accident. The man who was harassing Sara and soon found out that he was in the wrong place at the wrong time, with begging Jim to heal the man – will our hero save the mans soul from eternal damnation? All this and more in another exciting issue of Spawn! Written by Will Carlton and artwork by Szymon Kudranski.

Flashpoint Teasers

Flashpoint is right around the corner! With it’s release in May, Flashpoint will be messing and rearranging things in the DC Comics Universe. However with everyone still waiting to see a comic book preview, what will keep us interested in the story? Teaser posters! Flashpoint Friday is every week and DC Comics releases some cool and spectacular Flash covers. The main characters that seem to be involved other than the Flash are Bruce Wayne, Dick Grayson, Hal Jordon, Aquaman and Deathstroke The Terminator!

Walking Dead #82 – Advanced Review

Walking Dead # 82 is the third part of a four-part story arc called “No Way Out.” In the first couple pages, we see Morgan in the ground trying to get himself up screaming how he doesn’t want to die. The group is surrounded by zombies until Machone comes to the rescue. Rick is worried that the bite Morgan took might infect him, prompting him to tell Machone they need to do something to prevent the infection from taking over. And in response, Machone decides to cut off Morgan’s arm with a samurai sword.

Jennifer Blood #1 – Review

Jennifer is everything a perfect wife should be. She’s a fantastic mother to her children, speeding time with them and nurturing their every moment. She’s also a reasonable and understanding mate, receptive to her husbands hobbies and manly needs. In essence, Jennifer is the glue that holds her family unit together. Most importantly she understands that 9mm handguns are a waste of time. Whats the point of having twice as many bullets if you have to use three times as many to put someone down? It all starts on Monday morning, Jennifer spends a moment with her diary as she recaps her day of running errands and preparing the homestead for her family’s long day at school and work. Once together the family bond and enjoy each others time. The kids do their homework and the husband talks about his love of bird watching. While cleaning up Jennifer’s thought drift back to earlier in the day to her trip to a mechanic the local “Dads” had recommended.
