Elephantmen: Man or Elephantman #1 – Review

This one shot issue is being used for new readers to jump onto the series and frankly it does that well. If you’ve never read Elephantmen before then this issue will walk you through the world and events that make the comic. The flip side of that coin is that if you are reading Elephantmen then you’ll be treated to a very bizarre story that acts like a “What If?” tale more than anything else. The story picks up almost instantly where the last issue of the ongoing left off. Hip has just spent the night with Miki only when he wakes up he’s human and no longer a Hippo Elephantman. The thing is that it’s the norm for him as he thinks that he’s a human. Miki tries to seduce him some more before he takes off to work, but Hip heads to the showers any ways. Too bad Miki joins him as she won’t take no for an answer.

Limited Edition Copies of New “Dorthy of OZ” Comic to Debut at WonderCon

More Limited Editions you say? Well IDW will have an exclusive print of their new Dorothy of Oz at Wondercon this weekend. It sounds like the numbers are very limited so if you want to get a look at it before anyone else and also snag an exlusive cover that only a few people will be able to get, then pick it up when you stop by. I’ll slap on the times of when you can get the book and also the details about a Facebook contest where people not attending Wondercon can try to get their own copy. DOROTHY OF OZ, the first in a series of five limited edition comic books, will be officially unveiled at San Francisco’s WonderCon. The comics will fill in the gap for eager franchise fans from the classic L. Frank Baum “Wonderful Wizard of Oz” tale to the upcoming 2012 release of the animated DOROTHY OF OZ, based on the book by his great-grandson Roger Stanton Baum. The comic is produced by Summertime Entertainment and Publishers IDW.

Iconic Costume or Iconic Logo? You Pick!

After attending the DC Nation panel where they were still talking about fans disliking Wonder Woman’s new costume I just knew I had to bring up this debate. In my opinion there are two things that separate DC and Marvel’s superheroes: Their costumes and their emblems. So the question is which is better? Which do fans care more about? Well let’s run through it and see first what separates the two companies characters and what they share in common, because believe me there are things the two companies share in common.
