Shipping in July – 12 Gauge Comics

Coming in July from 12 Gauge Comics are two brand new titles and they look like they’re bringing the action! It looks like 12 Gauge is going to keep pumping out the action books which I really enjoy. They have R.P.M. and Boondock Saints already delivering the goods and it mixes up the market and I can’t think of another company other than Avatar that keeps a theme to the books they publish so check these books out in July.

Title Announcement – The Lives of Sacco and Vanzetti

Rick Geary tackles the most controversial case of the 20th century. Anarchists Sacco & Vanzetti were accused of robbery and murder but so many supposedly damning pieces of evidence were questionable their guilty verdict elicited massive protests around the world. Geary presents us with all the twists and turns, appeals and dubious evidence after presenting us the human face of the two men, demonized by many, turned to martyrs by many others in his usual unflappable way. 6 x 9, 80pp., B&W, jacketed hardcover: $15.99, ISBN 978-1-56163-605-1

Nicolas Cage’s Stolen Comic Found

Nearly a decade ago Nicolas Cage’s prized possession, an original copy of Action Comics
#1 worth $1.5 million because it was Superman’s first appearance, was
stolen from him. The comic book was recently found in a storage locker
in San Fernando Valley.

Cage
is a huge comic book fan, so much so he changed his name to Nicolas
Cage after his favorite comic book character Luke Cage. He was
scheduled to play Superman in Tim Burton’s Superman movie in the 90’s,
close to the time when his rare comic book was stolen.

Preview Time – Super Dinosaur #1

Here’s another preivew, but not the last of the day. This is Robert Kirkman’s (The Walking Dead, Invincible) new book Super Dinosaur about a little boy who’s a genius. His grandfather and his business partner find dinosaurs alive underneath the earth and well you know what I can’t continue talking about it. I’ve already read the book and thankfully I’m not review it otherwise it would get an ear-full and probably a “2” on the scale and only because the art is decent. Any ways, check it out for yourself since you’re probably a mindless Kirkman zombie… enjoy!
