There’s
has been a lot of Turtle buzz with the news of the comic and television
show but nothing and I mean nothing compares to this fan art. This is
an amazing looking series of digital paintings by artist Dave Rapoza of
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle characters. They are so awesome, that the only way you could say you’re a real TMNT fan is to buy all of them. So why do you drop $40 for 18″x24″ prints and enjoy life.

Really? Red Hulk got his own Planet Hulk story line. Ughh… I do not
know why this character has so much exposure. He really isn’t great and
he is not better than the Jade Giant. Ohh well… Here is a sneak peek

When Oni Press talked about The Tooth at Wonder Con I pulled a seat belt out of my bag and strapped into my chair I was that ready to go! Now I finally get to read it this week and I am so looking forward to it. Keep in mind the style of storytelling and art is intentional. If you look at it and wonder when it was original published then the creators did their job. In the meantime you’ve got a lot of clicking to do so enjoy!
Tired of movies at your Comic Con? Well how about some comics at your Film Fest? That’s right on June 11, at the Hero Complex a film festival for super hero movies, the duo will be dropping some earth shattering news about Superman both in the comics and other mediums. That’s the only hint they’re giving for now, but if you want to go (you know you do know) it’s just $45 bucks! You do get to watch Superman I and II before the panel in which Johns and Lee will also be dropping major news about the DCU in general. You’re next question is probably going to be, “Is PA going to cover this so I don’t have to go?” That’s a yes.

In September, they’ll be releasing a Walking Dead Board Game, based on the hit AMC TV series. In The Walking Dead Board game, only the strong survive. The weak turn into walkers, and then turn against their former friends! Fight your way through zombie-infested Atlanta with your fellow survivors. Grab some weapons to clear a path. Visit destinations like the department store, old folk’s home, and the CDC. Find the tools you’ll need to live another day. Take on the role of Rick, Andrea, or one of the other hapless survivors and scrounge for sweet weapons like a Shotgun or Crossbow. Keep your eyes open for new allies, but watch your back! When supplies start running low, it’s every man for himself. If you can make it back to camp with enough gear to defend yourself and those you still care for, you win.
Archaia Entertainment, LLC and Publishers Group West (“PGW”), a Perseus Books Group company, announced today that PGW will begin distributing Archaia titles in the US and Canada beginning June 20, 2011. The deal encompasses all of Archaia’s backlist titles, which include fan-favorites: Mouse Guard, Return of the Dapper Men, and The Killer, plus over 40 frontlist titles for the second half of 2011. Included are two major media tie-in releases: the illustrated prose edition of The Conspiracy of the Planet of the Apes in July and an original graphic novel anthology to Relativity Media’sImmortals in September.

Archaia Entertainment has set July 25th for the release of Conspiracy of the Planet of the Apes, its first illustrated novel, through its new book trade distributor Publishers Group West (PGW). Written by celebrated author, artist, and digital producer Andrew E.C. Gaska, and adapted from a story by Gaska, Rich Handley, Christian Berntsen and Erik Matthews, Conspiracy of the Planet of the Apes recounts what happened between the scenes of the classic 1968 Twentieth Century Fox film, centering on the astronaut John Landon, Chimpanzee scientists Dr. Milo and Dr. Galen, and Gorilla Security Chief Marcus.
Dark Horse Comics is extremely proud to announce Beasts of Burden creators Evan Dorkin & Jill Thompson have been nominated for the 2011 Anthony Award for Best Graphic Novel! Moonstone Books is always one of my favorites to post since they have a wide varitey of books including Pulp, Noir and everything else really. In September they’re launching a Pulp Fiction Magazine which I’m very interested in! Granted this is all a ways off, but as always a lot of shops will only buy these books if someone requests them so bug your shop or you’ll be missing out!
