Hot off the presses, Star Wars: The Old Republic Vol. 2 Threat of Peace has sold out of its first printing! But wait, Star Wars: The Old Republic Vol. 1 Blood of the Empire has sold out of stock as well! Volume 2 collects Star Wars: The Old Republic #1-27, which originally appeared online at swtor.com.

Baltimore Comic-Con Adds Hot Talent to the Summer Heat

that the Con season is picking up, here is some news on some of the

Venom #1 Goes To Third Printing

Wow!  I guess this has been a huge success.  Marvel has a huge hit with this book.  I might have to pick this comic out when it comes to third priting. Marvel is pleased to announce that VENOM #1 will be going back to press yet again with VENOM #1 THIRD PRINTING VARIANT by the  creative team of Rick Remender and Tony Moore! America’s newest black ops agent, Flash Thompson, hits the ground running taking on the missions too dangerous for the Marines, too secret for the White House…and too messy for the Avengers.

Preview Time – The Tattered Man – One Shot

Here’s a look at a book I picked as my “Pick of the Week” last week only to be disappointed when it was pushed to this week. Either way it remains my pick of the week and it’s a book you do not want to miss out on. You will probably get to read the review tonight as well, but in the meantime just enjoy one of the best comics of 2011. I really hope that Palmiotti and Gray continue the Tattered Man as an ongoing, but that’s probably based on how many people pick the book up… so get it already!

More Zomibes and war this week from Image Comics. You can’t help but love those covers from Bat. You’ll get a full review of this issue from Kevin once again and if you forgot how good the first issue was read our write up for a refresher. In the meantime enjoy the preview and pick up the second issue in stores tomorrow rather than picking up that boring old Walking Dead book.

Preview Time – The Mission #4

I have a love hate relationship with this book. I want to like it and I’m intrigued by the story and the artwork, but it never reaches that level of greatness or full-fills it’s potential. Either way I’m in it for the long haul and because of that you get to see the preview before decide for yourself to pick up the newest issue.

Preview Time – Image First’s Ultra #1

It’s not often we feature a preview for a re-release, mostly because they tend to be of popular books. But the Luna Bros. first comic work Ultra wasn’t a huge mega hit, it did alright but it didn’t take off the way Girls did. So enjoy a look a series that doesn’t try to be a typical capes book and covers some really adult themes. If you’re interested in the series then you can pick up the first issue for a buck.

Preview Time – Carbon Grey #3

Carbon Grey has been praised for it’s art style even from the first issue, but the story has been met with mixed reviews at best. With the third issue it should be interesting to see where this series finally falls; be it good or bad. You can find the review on the site tomorrow, but for now enjoy a preview of the third issue courtesy of Image Comics.

Shipping in August – Zenescope

Ah Zenescope solicits. One thing I’ll give them is that they are the kings of covers. And that E. Bas character knows his way around the female form! If you’re interested in these books for more than the covers then enjoy a rather large month of comics from Zenescope with new books like Dino StrikeForce and Terminal Alice. Personally I’m still waiting for FLY.

Stan Lee and Elvira Invite You To Comikaze Expo

Comikaze Expo, the largest multimedia pop culture, comic book, horror and gaming convention in Los Angeles, has set its date and location: November 5-6 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Comikaze’s creators expect 60,000 attendees and more than 300 vendors. The show will kick off with appearances by the father of modern comics, Stan Lee, and Comikaze’s official “spooksperson,” horror icon Elvira, at the event’s ribbon-cutting ceremony.
