DC Reboot – The Final Six

It’s official, I’ve found the one book I’m not buying for sure from the DC Reboot and it’s Superman: The Man of Tomorrow written and drawn by George Perez. I’m sorry, but I’m really not interested. Just as I finished saying DC was waiting to do Superman last, they go and do Superman last. I’m not even counting at this point, but I’m pretty sure we’re to 52. If not, then everyone’s burned out anyways so just give it a rest DC.

DC Reboot – Rags Morales Superman and Other Character Pics

Look. At. That. Superman! Now that’s a Superman I can support buying monthly! In a strange turn of events DC Comics decided to announce Grant Morrison and Rags Morales on Action Comics via Hero Complex (The Superhero film festival happening this weekend in LA… I’ll be there tomorrow!). The article calls Rags Morales “an up and coming artist” which is hilarious since he’s been the golden boy ever since Identity Crisis, but they also go on to correctly title the other Superman comic, which is: Superman: The Man of Tomorrow.

DC Reboot – Superman Family

Well every one is going to hate that Superman outfit and I can’t wait to hear about the Superboy tattoo! Remember that DC lost the suit in the recent lawsuitso yeah, we have a much different looking suit. It seems like the screwed up on the “S” though, because that looks the same and it’s distinctly different from the one Jim Lee drew for the Justice League cover. Also there’s a rumor that DC is requiring all of their female characters to wear pants, which has basically been true for every character thus far in the reboot… except Supergirl! Notice that she’s not wearing a super skirt anymore. Personally I love her costume and hope that they don’t screw up her origin and actually make her a character for once instead of a poor man’s female Superman.

Uncanny X-Men Ends With Issue #544

I have to say I like that Marvel is slowly getting rid of all their “legacy” titles and re-branding them for new readers. In a way it’s way DC is doing, but on a smaller scale. Earlier in the year it was Fantastic Four, which then became Future Foundation. Now Uncanny X-Men is ending due to the events in the up coming Schism storyline which pits Cyclops and Wolverine against each other for the future of Mutant-kind! What the big news is for this issue, is this terrible Greg Land cover. What the hell is going on? Why is Angel pointing at me like I’m number one? When did Iceman visit the Ice Giants home world? Mostly I want to know which magazines he swiped all the different posses from?

DC Reboot – Wildstorm And Everything Else Cool!

Is anyone keeping count on how many books we’re up to yet? No? Yeah me neither. Today’s batch of DC reboots are mostly Wildstorm books and frankly I’m really excited about Wildstorm being intgrated into the normal DCU. There’s some strong possibilities for them there. Also anything Paul Cornell is written already has my money. If you go down to the bottom of the list you’ll find Nate Edmondson is working on Grifter! Damn near shat my pants when I saw that. He’s also being given a super star artist for the book so I’ll be sure to try that one out for sure! Another big congrats to Mike Costa working on Blackhawks, that should be interesting. Really there are like five book on this list I’m truly excited for, but the WTF of the day is Didio on OMAC… I guess you can’t get rid of all of the trash huh? We’ll have a seperate article on Superman due to the fact that it’s exclusive, in the meantime enjoy the covers and vague details.
