Teaser Time – Infinite Vacation Teaser 3

Teaser time again! Here’s the third (of four) teasers for Infinite Vacation that comes out from Image and Shadowline tomorrow. First off, yes that’s a ipad. Second, yes a couple of those pointing fingers look like they only have three fingers on their hand, but I doubt it’s intentional. Also I nailed the whole “Inception” vibe as it’s stated on Image’s own site. Here’s what the books about straight from Image’s site… since you know I have no idea what else to say about this book. Tomorrow you receive my grocery list and the teaser because I have nothing else to say until I read the book.

Radical Makes the NY Times Business Front Page

Radical Comics is making a splash on the NY Times business page with a piece on the companies Publisher Barry Levine. The piece talks about Radical’s deals with Disney, Dreamwave and Fox, but Levine isn’t able to go into details about which deals would be green-lite first. Levine has the heart of comics at mind though as he loves to rip off his shirt and show off his Hercules tattoo, one of Radical’s first and most successful graphic novels.

Teaser Time – We Are All Lost – Trailer

Well last week we were treated to a teaser shot that simply stated, “We Are All Lost” and this week so far now we have a trailer… that loses me. Not really, the trailer is easy enough to follow but its still not giving up a lot of details on what “We Are All Lost” is about. Top Cow has again promised more details as the week continues and I’m at least curious to see what their next teaser has to offer. Enjoy the video!

Teaser Time – Infinite Vacation Teaser 2

It’s teaser time again! First up is another Infinite Vacation. I’d have to say that reading the text of the fake magazine makes me think that this book my be inspired by the movie “Inception” a tid bit. “Money’s not an object, or maybe it never was” everything is point to the fact that nothing is real and maybe never was. I guess there could be some mix of the “Matrix” in there as well. Regardless of it’s meaning I’m already tired of the teasers and would prefer to just read the comic.

Teaser Time – We Are All Lost

I don’t know when it became the cool thing in comics marketing to promote a book by not telling anyone what it is until a series of mystery teasers, but that is the cool thing to do. You may remember three or four weeks of “The Righteous Maker” teasers that lead up to big reveal, well this time Top Cow is giving it a try with a teaser of their own. What is know about the book, more than likely known as “We Are All Lost” is that it’s shipping in April of this year. We’ve already been told to expect more images next week so I’m sure I’ll be struggling to say something new each time one of them comes out. In the meantime we can all ask ourselves, “What does it mean?”

Teaser Time – Infinite Vacation

In 2010 one comic book company mastered “hype” when marketing their books and that company was Image Comics. Books that no one would have thought twice about not only sold out, but went back for a second printing. The list includes the first four issues of Morning Glories, the first two issues of Skullkickers and the first two issues of 27. The most surprising being the last on the list, “27” because it really seemed like it had the least going for it. Yet here we are with a second print of the second issue on the way. Why is this all relevant? Here we are with another teaser from Morning Glories scribe Nick Spenser for his next Image/Shadowline title Infinite Vacation. The tagline is the only thing we really know about which simply states, “Go anyway, Be anything.” With Spenser’s name attached I’m sure that the hype machine is hard at work making sure that this next title becomes a sold out success as well.
