X-Men: First Class Affinity – Magneto

Magneto, the X-Men’s oldest and longest running villain. Good old Max Eisenhardt, good old Erik Magnus Lehnsherr. Good or bad, Magneto has actually been both. In fact he’s probably switch sides more than any other comic character in the Marvel U. Magneto’s first appearance in the world of comics was X-Men #1 (now known as Uncanny X-Men) where he tried to hijack some bombs with his mutant abilities to control all magnetism which means that he can slap around all types of metals and screw with the magnetic frequencies of the planet. The X-Men, then consisting of: Cyclops, Marvel Girl, Beast, Iceman and Beast stopped his evil plans, but Magneto escaped capture.

Long Books to Read Over the Long Weekend

Yay Memorial Day weekend! While everyone else is out camping or BBQ’ing you may find yourself uninvolved with any of those things and as such you should take this opportunity to catch up on some books that require a lot of time to read. Although, you could find yourself camping with a bunch of inexperienced friends that have one tent between five people or stuck and a horrid family BBQ or one hosted by a friend of your wife or girlfriends and instead of talking to people you can read a book! Who cares it’s her friends right? The real question comes down to what you should be reading? X-Men: First Class Affinity – Havok

Alexander Summers or Alex Summer to friends, is the baby brother of Scott Summers a.k.a Cyclops. Both are survivors of an alien abduction, this abduction left them orphans. He was place in an orphanage in Omaha, where it was run by Mister Sinister. Alex was adopted by a mourning family unlike Cyclops who joined the X-Men. Sinister, help trigger Alex mutation when he persuaded the school bully to attack Alex. This caused Alex’s mutant powers to manifest and he incinerated the Bully. Sinister, then put a genetic lock, in  Alex’s mutant gene, this stop the development of his mutant powers. Alex did not realized he was a mutant until after graduating college.

The Hellfire Club had numerous wealthy and influential members like Sebastian Shaw, but there was only one White Queen. Emma Frost was the former White Queen of the Hellfire Club before joining the X-Men. A powerful dominatrix with a high and mighty attitude living up to her name, Emma can turn her body to diamond to deflect bullets and has telepathic powers capable of rivaling the toughest of mutants.

Emma started out as a rich kid from Snow Valley, Massachusetts. She lived with her father, mother, two sisters and her brother and surprisingly Emma cared the least about her wealth and was a shy girl in school. She was not the A student her father constantly pressured her to be, until she hit puberty and her telepathic powers began to surface.

The Hellfire Club counts among its members the most famous, wealthy and influential members of society. Membership is passed on to descendants and can also be earned through wealth or influence. While many accept the invitation simply for the pleasures that the Club offers, others seek just the wealth and influence. In fact, the purpose of the Hellfire Club is to obtain and exert power through politics and economic influence instead of outward conquest and domination. Since its foundation, the Hellfire Club has been involved in wars and assassinations to further the agendas of the Club’s most powerful members. The most influential member the Club has ever had is Sebastian Shaw.

A Look At Puerto Rico ComicCon 2011

We embarked on our journey at 8:00 am. The odd duo of a comic book geek and a professional cosplayer. Our destination Puerto Rico convention center, in San Juan. Our objective, Puerto Rico ComicCon. It’s an unlikely event given that this is not a place renown for big comic conventions; in fact this is the second annual convention of this magnitude. Last year the con did not have a good publicity run, it was the first time that a convention was done in a big venue. The truth of the matter was nobody knew if this was going to work.
