What Can We Expect From Ubisoft at E3 2014?
With E3 2014 fast approaching on the 10th - 13th of June, Microsoft, Nintendo, Sony, Ubisoft and EA traditionally hold large press conferences before the E3 conference begins so I'll be taking a look at what to expect from Ubisoft this year at E3.
The Ubisoft E3 2014 press conference, or '
Ubisoft Media Briefing,' has been confirmed for E3 2014 on Monday, June 9 at 3PM and will once again be hosted by actress and comedian, Aisha Tyler. The Ubisoft camp will hold announcements on
Assassin's Creed Unity,
Far Cry 4,
Tom Clancy's The Division and
The Crew. They've also promised more news on
Valiant Hearts: The Great War - most of these titles will also be playable at their booth. Announcing their games schedule, co-founder and Ubisoft CEO, Yves Guillemot said: "2014 is the most exciting year the gaming industry has seen in a while."At E3, we can't wait to share our vision for the future of gaming, Ubisoft teams have fully embraced this new generation and will demonstrate how they are bringing breakthrough innovations to our beloved franchises in order to offer players the most original and memorable gaming experiences."
Assassin’s Creed Unity has been built from the ground up as a next-gen game, offering a new way to experience the venerated franchise. Set during the French Revolution,
Unity unfolds during a time of unimaginable terror and unprecedented turbulence – the perfect backdrop for the ongoing battle between the Assassins and the Templars.
Black Flag was a huge success with mostly positive reviews throughout the gaming world so it's going to be great to see how Ubisoft can improve with
Unity.
Far Cry 3 was on of the top-rated first person shooters of 2012.
Far Cry 4 is set in an entirely new area – a massive open-world in a Himalayan region known as Kyrat. With a new weapons, vehicles, wildlife and more,
Far Cry 4 will be the most immersive and expansive game in the series ever. I can't wait to see what is next to come in the series and how they can improve on the third game.
New York is in the middle of a devastating crisis. Thrown into chaos by a bio-terror attack and now in full lockdown, the city has only hope: a group of sleeper agents who must now spring into action. This open-world action-RPG combines the authenticity of a Tom Clancy game with fast action, strategic teamwork and intense exploration. It was recently delayed to next year, but at least it will be at E3 in some capacity and we'll see how it is faring since it's initial announcement last E3.
Get behind the wheel of this revolutionary action-driving game.
The Crew delivers a massive open-world United States, full of highways, alleyways, dirt roads and more. Join up with others to take on challenges, or go solo and explore the countryside in a game populated by other real players. The racing game hasn't been making good impressions since it's announcement last E3, so hopefully another year of work with the game is enough for Ubisoft to prove critics wrong.
Ubisoft has been known for having one big surprise at the end of their press conferences with
The Division last year and Watch Dogs the year before. Will they announce another new original IP that is years off or it is finally time to reveal the long awaited
Beyond Good & Evil 2?
