Brooke Smith Headed to Bates Motel

There’s a new Sheriff headed to Bates Motel, according to TVLine. Brooke Smith (Grey’s Anatomy) has been cast as the new head of the local law enforcement for season five of A&E’s drama series. Smith will play Sheriff Dana Green, the new face of the law in White Pine Bay. Her character will be replacing the now imprisoned Alex Romero, who will still be returning as a series regular. Dana Green is described as “competent, professional, moralistic and sharp,” according to TVLine. It will be interesting to see what Green brings to the table after last season’s shocking finale. Will she be just what the small-town of White Pine Bay needs? Rihanna will also be joining this upcoming season in the anticipated role of Marion Crane.
