BioShock Infinite has shipped more than 3.7 million since its release on March 26. The first-person shooter "enjoyed significantly higher first month sell-through than any other BioShock release," according to a report from Take-Two's fiscal year 2013 report.
Another 2K Games shooter which sold extremely well is Borderlands 2 which has shipped just over 6 million copies since release. Take-Two's Borderlands is on track to become "The highest selling game in 2K's history"
Take-Two's income for the quarter which ended on March 31 was up from the same period last year, bringing in $22.5 million dollars as opposed to a $66.8 million loss in 2012. The company lost $29.5 million over the 2013 fiscal year, much improved from a $108.8 million loss in 2012.
Rockstar Games' contribution for the year was Max Payne 3, which Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said has "shipped more than 4 million copies since its May release" and they're planning something a bit bigger this year.
“2013 is the 20th anniversary of Take-Two’s founding and, today, our Company is better positioned for success than at any other time in its history," Take Two said in the report. "With Rockstar Games launching Grand Theft Auto V in September, fiscal 2014 is poised to be one of our best years ever. Looking ahead, we have an extensive pipeline of next-generation and emerging platform titles in development, including both new intellectual property and releases from our proven franchises."
